Tomaž Kovačič is a backend software engineer at Zemanta with substantial experience building web based applications on various technology stacks. Deep understanding of developing backend applications and services preferably using Python or Java (7 years of experience) and various relational and non-relational persistence solutions. Always ready to built something new or jumping into large codebases to solve architectural, IO or CPU bound problems.
My thesis research was dedicated to web content extraction algorithms where I conducted a comprehensive study of existing solutions in this sparse field. I’m dedicated to expand my knowledge in this particular field and information retrieval in general.
Upon joining Zemanta I have learned a lot on how to operate in a product focused team. Offering my engineering skills and experience to achieve the success of various products.
